Psalms 96

A Call to Worship the Lord the Righteous Judge.

1 aSing to the Lord a bnew song;
Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
cProclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.
3Tell of dHis glory among the nations,
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
4For egreat is the Lord and fgreatly to be praised;
He is to be gfeared habove all gods.
5For iall the gods of the peoples are
Or non-existent things
idols,
But kthe Lord made the heavens.
6 lSplendor and majesty are before Him,
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

10Say among the nations, x“The Lord reigns;
Indeed, the yworld is firmly established, it will not be moved;
He will zjudge the peoples with
Or uprightness
equity.”

11Let the abheavens be glad, and let the acearth rejoice;
Let adthe sea
Or thunder
roar, and
Lit its fullness
all it contains;
12Let the agfield exult, and all that is in it.
Then all the ahtrees of the forest will sing for joy
13Before the Lord, aifor He is coming,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
ajHe will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness.
